Scheme: CRYSTAL – Community Readiness for Youth in Skill Training and Advanced Leadership
As the concept of leadership cannot be restricted to a particular domain, KYLA has employed an innovative approach to design specific practical courses through CRYSTAL. This scheme aims to equip the youth for community interventions, particularly, during disasters and related services. We are fascinated to add more components to this scheme.
Component 1: Emergency Response and Survival Application (ERSA)
This is a specially designed 5 day intensive physical training programme conducted for passionate youth to equip them to face any challenging situation. Basically, this training programme is developed by tuning Leadership with Disaster Resilience. Trainees will undergo practical sessions in crisis management, team building, etc. Currently, KYLA completed 2 batches for ERSA with 30 students each and will be extending the same at each University and college level. An efficient team of Sannadhasena (Alappuzha team) under the leadership of Sub-Collector, Alappuzha is handling ERSA training. Trainees will be provided a certificate after successful completion of training.
Component 2: Climate Leadership and Advocacy Programme (CLAP)
KYLA in association with the Directorate of Environment and UNICEF has conducted a one-day workshop on Youth for Climate Action explicitly to promote youth engagement to combat climate change. The change in climate is widely visible and being a tropical area, Kerala is currently a home to frequent climate change induced disasters. CLAP aims to build a platform for the youth to understand global trends, research and access resources through training and knowledge transfer. It also aims to equip the young elected representatives of the local self governments across Kerala to promote carbon neutral policies and bring in some change at the local level.
പദ്ധതി: ക്രിസ്റ്റൽ (CRYSTAL) – നൈപുണി പരിശീലനത്തിലും സാരഥ്യത്തിലുമുള്ള യുവജനസന്നദ്ധത
നേതൃശേഷി എന്ന ആശയത്തെ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക മേഖലയിലേക്ക് ചുരുക്കാനാവില്ല. സവിശേഷമായ പ്രായോഗിക പരിശീലനത്തിന് വേണ്ടി ക്രിസ്റ്റൽ മുഖാന്തിരം കൈല ചില നവീനാശയങ്ങൾ നടപ്പാക്കാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നു. സമൂഹത്തിന് വേണ്ടിയുള്ള കണ്ടുപിടുത്തങ്ങൾക്ക്, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ദുരന്തങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട സേവനങ്ങൾ നൽകാൻ യുവജനങ്ങളെ പ്രാപ്തരാക്കുകയാണ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം.
ഭാഗം 1: അടയന്തിര സാഹചര്യങ്ങളിലെ ഇടപെടലും അതിജീവനവും (Emergency Response and Survival Applications- ERSA)
വെല്ലുവിളികളെ ഫലപ്രദമായി നേരിടാൻ യുവജനങ്ങളെ സജ്ജമാക്കുന്നതിന് അഞ്ച് ദിവസത്തെ തീവ്ര ശാരീരിക പരിശീലനമായിട്ടാണ് ഇതിനെ ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. നേതൃശേഷിയും ദുരന്ത പ്രതിരോധവും കാര്യക്ഷമമാക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയാണ് അടിസ്ഥാനപരമായി ഈ പരിശീലന പരിപാടി വികസിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. ദുരന്ത നിവാരണം, ടീം നിർമാണം മുതലായവയിൽ ട്രയിനികൾ പ്രായോഗിക പരിശീലനത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകണം. നിലവിൽ, 30 വിദ്യാർഥികളുമായി ഇആർഎസ്എയുടെ 2 ബാച്ചുകൾ കൈല പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചു. ഇത് കോളേജ്-യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി തലത്തിലേക്കും വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കും. ആലപ്പുഴയിലെ സബ്കളക്ടറുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന സന്നദ്ധസേനയിലെ (ആലപ്പുഴ) അംഗങ്ങളാണ് ഇആർഎസ്എ പരിശീലനത്തിന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകുന്നത്. പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ ട്രെയിനികൾക്ക് സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് നൽകും.
ഭാഗം 2: കാലാവസ്ഥാ സാരഥ്യ – അഭിഭാഷണ പരിപാടി (Climate Leadership and Advocacy Programme- CLAP)
കാലാവസ്ഥാ വ്യതിയാനവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ യുവജനങ്ങളെ വ്യാപൃതരാക്കാനായി പരിസ്ഥിതി ഡയറക്ടറേറ്റും യൂനിസെഫുമായി ചേർന്ന് കൈല ഒരു ഏകദിന ശിൽപശാല നടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കേരളത്തിൽ കാലാവസ്ഥാവ്യതിയാനം കൂടുതൽ വ്യക്തമാവുകയും ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാപ്രദേശമായി മാറുകയും കാലാവസ്ഥാ വ്യതിയാനം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന ദുരന്തങ്ങൾ തുടർച്ചയായി സംഭവിക്കുന്ന ഫലമായും നിലവിൽ കേരളം മാറിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ആഗോള പ്രവണതകൾ, ഗവേഷണങ്ങൾ, പരിശീലനങ്ങളിലൂടെയുള്ള വിഭവസമാഹരണം, അറിവ് കൈമാറ്റം ചെയ്യൽ എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ച് മനസിലാക്കാനുള്ള അവസരം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് ക്ലാപ് പദ്ധതി ലക്ഷ്യം വെക്കുന്നത്. കാർബർ ന്യൂട്രൽ നയങ്ങൾ പ്രോൽസാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും തദ്ദേശീയ തലത്തിൽ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിനും തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട യുവ ജനപ്രതിനിധികളെ പ്രാപ്തരാക്കുക എന്നതും ക്ലാപ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യമാണ്.
